MATÍAS VENTURA is an engineer, designer, and philosophy enthusiast from Montevideo.

Matías joined Automattic in 2010, first contributing to the Calypso project. Today he is on the developer experience team at Automattic and the lead architect of the Gutenberg project in WordPress.

He has been contributing to WordPress Core since he co-designed the Twenty Eleven default theme.
