Petya Raykovska is Director of Operations at Human Made, where she works on the unglamorous but important stuff that makes it easier for brilliant people to do brilliant work: clear systems, useful tools and fewer things getting in their way. Her career has moved through journalism, product, marketing, project management, community building and operations — giving her a broad view of how people, systems and technology shape the way organisations grow. She has been part of the WordPress open-source community since 2011, organising WordCamps, contributing to global teams and mentoring contributors around the world. Outside work, she mentors teenagers building their first businesses and social-impact projects, as well as women developing their careers in technology. These days, much of her work sits at the intersection of organisational design, culture and AI: exploring how technology can create more space for creativity, better decisions and meaningful work, while keeping human judgement, connection and curiosity at the centre.
